Itasca State Park: 20 miles, There is a beautiful lodge to dine at, a ferry boat to ride around Lake Itasca, a souvenier shop by the headwaters (very beginning) of the mighty Mississippi river, a hostel, a wonderful sandy swimming beach to cool off and shower house, bike and boat rentals, MANY miles of paved bicycle trails and much more. Beautiful park.
Lobos Bar & Grill: 20 miles, Great food and bar just outside the North entrance of Itasca State Park.
Ter-Lee Gardens: 8 minutes, This farm mass produces seasonal fruits and veggies that you can pick! Asparagus, strawberries, raspberries, gourds, and pumpkins.
Rock Creek Gas Station: 20 miles, this is your last stop for gas/diesel and bait, if you are driving up from the South on county 2. Located on the North entrance of Itasca State Park on county 2 and cnty 200.
Hugos Foods: 45 minutes: Last stop for groceries if you are arriving from the South, open 24 hours, located in Park Rapids, MN.
Fireside Grill in Bagley: 10 minutes, Need to call to check operating hours but this is a great place to go on a date, nice restaurant.
Corner Bar & Silver Creek Saloon in Shevlin: 4 minutes, can get bags of ice, on and off sale liquor, and a meal.
Grocery Stores in Bagley, MN: 12 minutes, These are your 2 closest grocery stores, both can be seen off highway 2. This is your last stop for groceries if you are arriving from the West.
Casinos: Mahnomen Shooting Star casino, Red Lake Seven Clans Casino, Palace Casino: All casinos are within 45 minutes. Red Lake Casino has a fishing guide available that is AMAZING. Mahnomen has live music and serves drinks. Palace casino is the closest.
Paul Bunyan Playhouse: 25 minutes, professional live theatre in the heart of downtown Bemidji in a historic theatre. They do a stunning job with their sets and the shows are incredibly entertaining. Located in old downtown Bemidji.
Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues: 25 minutes, Located at the Bemidji waterfront next to the chamber of commerce, these statues are a blast to take pictures in front of, and a walk across the street from all the old downtown Bemidji shops.
